Master Of Public Health

Applicants must fulfill the following admission requirements. Please note that meeting the minimum requirements does not imply automatic admission into the MPH programme.

Medically qualified applicants

  1. MBBS or equivalent
  2. One year of general clinical experience, excluding housemanship for Singapore-trained doctors
  3. One year of work experience in public health/health administration/ occupational and environmental health or having entered clinical specialty training
    OR
    Enrolment in the NUHS Preventive Medicine Residency programme

Non-medical applicants

  1. Good Honours degree or equivalent
  2. Two years of work experience in public health / health promotion / health administration / occupational and environmental health / clinical research

English language requirements for International Applicants*

International applicants must submit test scores for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) and must meet the minimum scores required:

  • 85 on the TOEFL test
  • 6.0 on the IELTS Academic test

Test scores for the TOEFL and IELTS Academic are valid for 2 years from the test dates. TOEFL and IELTS Academic scores that are no longer valid will not be accepted.

  • For TOEFL, please request the testing organization to send your scoresheet directly to Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. Please quote 7897 for the TOEFL Institutional Code.
  • For IELTS scores, applicants can submit a scanned copy of their IELTS scoresheet.
