Having a stable career in nursing didn’t stop Dr. Cheng Ling Jie (Jeremy) from thinking, what more can he do in healthcare?
He took a leap of faith and joined the Master of Public Health programme, where his Master’s thesis, supported by Assoc Prof Luo Nan, became his first published paper and was later recognised as Editor’s Choice.
That moment wasn’t really about the publication. It was about what sparked in him.
That belief carried him further to pursue his PhD, then becoming a nurse scientist specialising in health economics and outcomes research at the University of Oxford, where his works focus on improving the lives of mothers and newborns.
