AlumNite 2026 was held at Four Points by Sheraton on 10 July 2026, bringing together about 150 graduands, alumni, faculty members, and guests. The evening celebrated our students’ academic journey and marked the start of their pre-commencement celebrations.
It was great to see graduands arriving with their loved ones to celebrate this significant milestone. To commemorate the occasion, each graduand received a soft toy version of our School’s mascot, Otus.
The evening began with a warm welcome address by our Dean, Prof Teo Yik Ying, who congratulated the graduands on their outstanding achievements, curiosity, and contributions throughout their studies. He also expressed his appreciation to the alumni for returning to reconnect with friends and faculty members at the School.
Prof Teo encouraged graduands to reflect on what first inspired them to join the School and challenged them to consider how they could make meaningful contributions to global health as they embark on the next chapter of their careers. Highlighting the School’s impact beyond Singapore, he shared examples of SSHSPH’s contributions to public health through research and policy.
Prof Teo also spoke about the evolving public health landscape, he encouraged graduands to continue asking important questions, pursue impactful research and develop interventions that strengthen public health policy and improve population health.
Award Ceremony for Student Excellence
The evening also celebrated the achievements of our outstanding students. Prof Teo together with Vice Dean of Education, Assoc Prof Liow Chee Hsiang, presented awards to 18 students in recognition of their exceptional academic performance and outstanding research contributions. The award recipients were warmly applauded by fellow graduands, alumni, faculty members and guests.
Stay Connected with the School
We encourage all our alumni to stay connected with the SSHSPH Alumni community through our social media channels – LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, to reconnect with former classmates, join discussions on public health issues at our events, and keep abreast of the School’s latest news.
