Kane K9 JENNS

Research Fellow

Kane (K9) JENNS

Dr. Kane “K9” Jenns works at the intersection of viral evolution and infectious disease dynamics. His current research will focus on applying Bayesian methods to elucidate how spatiotemporal, ecological, and epidemiological factors may affect the evolution of major pathogens including Dengue virus and SARS-CoV-2. Alongside this, he works closely with the BatOneHealth group and other wildlife health organizations as a bioinformation and evolutionary biologist, using metatranscriptomics and phylodynamics to uncover and characterize novel viral diversity in fruit bats and other vertebrates.
