WONG, Justin
Justin is a public health physician, currently serving as Director of Advanced Methods and Analytics at the Communicable Diseases Agency in Singapore. His work sits at the intersection of epidemiology, biostatistics, modelling and data analytics, with a focus on turning data into action-oriented decisions. He’s interested in building systems and capabilities – whether that’s strengthening surveillance, developing analytical methods, or growing teams that can bring together different disciplines to solve complex problems.
He has worked across Singapore, Brunei, the United Kingdom and with WHO in roles spanning disease control, surveillance, health security and strategic health planning. Prior to his current role in Singapore, Justin previously led the establishment of the Brunei Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. He also served as lead negotiator for the Government of Brunei Darussalam in the negotiations on the WHO Pandemic Agreement and on amendments to the International Health Regulations. Global health equity remains an important part of his work, particularly in thinking about how stronger public health systems and analytical capability can be built across different settings.
