HO Yan Teck
Dr Ho Yan Teck is a health technology assessment (HTA) and pharmaceutical policy specialist at the Agency for Care Effectiveness (ACE), Ministry of Health, Singapore, where he leads national workstreams on value-based pricing and risk-sharing arrangements for medicines and medical technologies. Over the past decade he has designed Singapore’s frameworks for innovative payment models, negotiated pricing and reimbursement agreements with multinational manufacturers, and led HTAs that shaped national subsidy decisions for drugs and medical technologies. He has represented Singapore in international engagements with the WHO and the Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information (PPRI) network. Yan Teck holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from NUS, where his doctoral research focused on cancer nanomedicine. At SSHSPH, he brings this blend of scientific training and hands-on policy experience to teaching on health technology assessment, pricing, and health financing. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness, soccer, programming, and following developments in science and medicine.
