China, Singapore, Australia and the United States have different patterns in COVID-19 incidence and mortality. In the inaugural APRU Crisis Management Webinar, experts will examine the epidemiological patterns and intervention strategies across the four countries and share the experiences and lesson learned in the prevention and control of COVID-19.

Webinar: Co-organised by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and SSHSPH, this webinar will present two recent pieces of work around social contacts: an update of synthetic matrices for 177 countries, and the CoMix surveys of social contacts across Europe during COVID-19–related social distancing measures. The panel will also discuss the appropriate use of social contact matrices for modelling COVID-19.

This seminar provides a platform for academic sharing of the public health experiences of both countries during the first half year of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to explore opportunities for working together in the future.

Webinar: Organised by the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, this session will explore how Singapore and France balance the economic crisis and healthcare concerns, as both countries ease lockdown measures and life gradually returns to a new normal. Experts from Singapore and France will share their perspectives on the economic and sociocultural factors that play a role.

Webinar: This session will discuss the challenges of scaling up testing, and the use of serology tests and its potential impact. Experts from Hong Kong, the Philippines and Singapore will also provide updates from the region.

The focus will be on the plans that different countries are taking in their exit strategies and discussions on the new norms that should be applied and practised by each country.
