On 17 July 2025, the School’s graduating class gathered at the University Cultural Centre to commemorate their achievements. In the presence of peers, faculty members, and distinguished guests, the ceremony marked a proud milestone and the start of a new chapter dedicated to advancing public health through purpose, compassion, and service.
Valedictorian for the Master of Public Health, Class of 2025, Ms Ying Yuan, delivered her address on behalf of her peers in the Master of Public Health programme. A mid-career student, she spoke on the strength and diversity of her cohort, and the shared commitment to making a difference in the field of public health.
“As we step into the next chapter of our lives, let us remember that our work is beyond the data, policy or programmes that we implement. It is ultimately about the people and lives that we are able to positively influence and impact.”
The ceremony also paid tribute to the resilience and growth of this graduating cohort, many of whom juggled work, family milestones, and demanding coursework. From wedding plans to new parenthood, the Class of 2025 exemplified determination and compassion in equal measure.
The afternoon concluded with graduates crossing the stage to receive their degrees, met with thunderous applause from proud supporters.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2025! May you continue to inspire, innovate, and impact lives across communities as you carry forward the School’s mission of building a healthier world for all.
