Nova Nelson
Lead, Kinship Collective
Inspired by the elders at Goodman Community Farm, I advocate for regenerative food systems that improve health, foster community ties, and connect people with nature as Singapore ages.
I am a leading permaculture practitioner in Singapore and founder of Cultivate Central, which I grew from a blog into an urban permaculture practice supporting the shaping of regenerative spaces and eco-friendly communities in Malaysia and Singapore. I developed the Goodman Community Farm to promote urban food resilience, and led the Better Eat Better children’s food literacy project, where I met Dr. Zoe Hildon during the Movements for Health (M4H) programme. I am passionate about project SAGE, working with elders to co-create a community-led food collective — offering seniors purpose, micro-jobs, and opportunities to share food wisdom and foster a healthy food culture and ecosystem.
