Coordinator, Singapore Chinatown Group
Being able to advocate for elderly wellbeing means directly paving the way for future health policies, and paying tribute to those who paved the way for us, the youth.
Having been raised by traditional grandparents, I have an immense passion for heritage preservation, and previously co-founded Finding Chinatown, a gamified heritage trail in Chinatown. I am also a fiction writer, though I also write about living heritage. Imagine my gladness when the NUS team correlated heritage with the mental health of seniors! For the SAGE community museum in Chinatown, I coordinated hundreds of photovoice narratives and wrote an overarching museum narrative about how Chinatown seniors view their lived experiences, raising awareness of the cause for public health.
