Overview

This introductory course to addictions seeks to inform healthcare professionals on the science behind addictions and the different aspects of addictions from epidemiology to its various manifestations. The course brings together professionals working in both the clinical and public health aspects of the field so as to enable participants to have a broad understanding of addictions.

Learning Objectives

After the course, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the science behind addictions
  • Understand common addictions and their manifestations
  • Understand the application of addiction science in policy and various settings e.g., workplace

Who Should Attend?

  • Healthcare professionals who wish to seek a basic understanding of addiction science
  • Non-healthcare professionals looking for an introductory course into addictions

Certification

An electronic Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who meet a minimum of 75% attendance.

Cancellation

  • Cancellation is permissible if conveyed to the course administrator in writing via email before 7 September 2023.
  • A cancellation charge of 50% of the fee will be levied if the cancellation is received after 7 September 2023.
  • No refunds will be given from 9 October 2023 onwards but substitution with another name is permissible. Please inform the course administrator in writing via email, and provide the name and details of the substitute by 7 September 2023.
