Congratulations to the NUHS Educators’ Day 2022 Teaching Excellence Award Winners!

Associate Professor Jeannette Lee and Dr Judy Sng were awarded the NUHS Teaching Excellence Award at the annual NUHS Educators’ Day. This year’s theme was “Education at the Heart of Incredible Care”. This was chosen to remind us of the pivotal role educators play in mentoring our young healthcare professionals and equipping them with support, training, and the right mindset. NUHS Educators’ Day is a platform to appreciate and celebrate the successes of our educators for their dedication and perseverance in giving their very best to nurture budding learners.

School Visit to Lao People’s Democratic Republic

On 30th August 2022, a delegation of faculty members from the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health travelled to Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, for school visits. International Advisory Panel (IAP) Visit 2022

The International Advisory Panel (IAP) was held on 23rd and 24th August 2022. In-person Student Orientation is back in full force after a two-year hiatus! Is It Time for Health Leaders to Consider Plain Cigarettes?

19 countries have implemented plain tobacco packaging policy, a law that requires tobacco products to be sold in drab-coloured, standardised packs with massive health warnings plastered on them. However, this does not apply to cigarette sticks. Tobacco companies have been using a variety of features to increase the appeal of cigarettes such as added flavours, nicotine, and attractive designs.
