Giving Stories

Ms Chen Jiaxuan

After spending my undergraduate studies overseas, gaining work experience was the main agenda. However, it also made me realise the need to continuously improve myself and not be complacent with the knowledge I’ve already attained.

Getting into NUS was the first step to expand and test my skill sets within a refreshing, fast-paced and competitive environment that pushes you to boundaries that have not been experienced before. It was also in such an environment where I have met classmates from diverse backgrounds, and gained valuable friendships that would not have been possible without this opportunity in studying at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.

I am grateful that the MPH Scholarship, made possible by the generosity of Prof Saw Swee Hock, has provided me the opportunity to kick-start this Public Health journey. I hope that I will be able to contribute effectively and substantially towards the future of Public Health, an exciting world that is driven by a strong sense of responsibility and seeks to serve the community through cutting-edge research.
