RAMAZANU Sheena

Dr Sheena Ramazanu is an Assistant Professor in Nursing and Health Sciences at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU). She serves as an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. She’s a distinguished scholar, and her guiding principles in life are: Serve- Grow- Excel. She’s an Atlas Corps Scholar, Fellow of Young South-East Asian Leaders Initiative Academy (YSEALI), Global Regional Council Member at Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International, and The Manchester Leadership Gold Award recipient. Dr Sheena actively serves the community through youth coaching and mentoring initiatives at national and international institutions. Dr Sheena strives to optimise health capacities of underserved communities. Her research studies involve collaborative partnerships with national, regional, and international institutions.

Dr Sheena’s previous teaching areas focus on health promotion, professional ethics and law, and honours degree thesis supervision. She serves as an Academic Editor for BMC Health Services Research and Public Health Challenges Journals. She pursued her nursing degree at University of Manchester- Singapore Institute of Technology and attained a first-class honour. She was presented with an Outstanding Dissertation Achievement Award. From years 2014- 2016, Sheena received University of Manchester Full Scholarship to pursue Master in Clinical Research. Sheena was awarded the prestigious and competitive Hong Kong PhD fellowship from 2017-2020. Dr Sheena received prestigious awards including, Ministry of Health Gold Medal Award, Tay Eng Soon Health Science Award, World Skills Singapore Silver Medal in Caring, Singapore Nurses Association Award, and Capital Land Healthcare Frontlines Award.
