Adjunct Associate Professor

CHIN Chee Wei Winston

I am a passionate and driven public health specialist with 15 years of experience in health policy, programme development, strategic planning, research, clinical care, capacity building, and leadership development. In the Ministry of Health Singapore, I successfully led the development of national policies and strategies in palliative care, healthcare financing, and health promotion.

I have been volunteering in Nepal since 2020 as an advisor for a local NGO, the International Nepal Fellowship, where I drive and lead capacity building and leadership development programmes across the organization, and support long-term strategic planning for the organization’s hospital and health services.

I have experience in qualitative research in health and am particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches to public health. I am currently conducting doctoral research into the lived experience of persons with physical disability in Nepal and their access to rehabilitation services, and I plan to use the results of the research to advocate for better services and policies for persons with disability.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, running, hiking, landscape photography, listening to music, and playing the guitar.
