Abstract:
The Regional Arbovirus Network Webinar Series launches with this inaugural session, exploring the intersection of climate, vector ecology, and arboviral infections. This session brings together leading experts to discuss how climate variability influences vector-borne disease transmission, emerging risks, and innovative approaches for mitigation.
Dr. Wilson Tan will share insights on vector control strategies in a changing climate, while Dr. Faye Cruz will discuss the opportunities and challenges of using high-resolution climate data in Southeast Asia—both key perspectives in addressing arbovirus threats in the region.
The session will be hosted by Prof. Leo Yee-Sin from the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore.
