Join us in forum with Sir Jeremy Farrar, who will share his insights on how multisectoral approaches can drive innovation and impact in global health. The session will explore how the golden age of science, along with the critical roles of the private sector and philanthropy, is shaping the future of health and well-being.

Sir Jeremy Farrar
Chief Scientist at the World Health Organization (WHO)

Sir Jeremy Farrar is the Chief Scientist at the World Health Organization (WHO), a role he has held since May 2023, where he champions science, evidence, and equitable access to innovation in global health.

A clinician-scientist with over 600 publications, he previously served as Director of the Wellcome Trust (2013–2023) and led the Clinical Research Unit at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (1996–2013). He holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Oxford and has trained in neurology and infectious diseases across the UK and Australia.

Sir Jeremy is a Fellow of multiple scientific academies and has received numerous international honours for his contributions to global health, including a knighthood in 2018 and a spot on the Time100 list of most influential health leaders in 2024.
