Contact matrices for the COVID-19 era

Date:

Tuesday, 11 August 2020

Time:

8.00pm – 9.30pm (Singapore Time) / 1.00pm – 2.30pm (British Summer Time)

Synopsis:

Estimating the number of social contacts that people have is key to models projecting COVID-19 transmission and related interventions like physical distancing.

This webinar will present two recent pieces of work around social contacts: an update of synthetic matrices for 177 countries, and the CoMix surveys of social contacts across Europe during COVID-19–related social distancing measures. The panel will also discuss the appropriate use of social contact matrices for modelling COVID-19.
