Strengthening Regional Health Collaboration: SSHSPH Signs MoU with the Health Strategy and Policy Institute in Vietnam

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH), National University of Singapore, has deepened its commitment to public health collaboration in Vietnam through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Health Strategy and Policy Institute (HSPI), under the Ministry of Health, Vietnam.

The MoU was signed during a two-day strategic retreat hosted in Hanoi. The retreat brought together senior representatives from SSHSPH and HSPI to explore opportunities for joint collaboration in research, policy engagement, and public health education.

HSPI is key in providing health policy advice, conducting research, and supporting the Vietnamese Ministry of Health in shaping national health priorities. The newly signed MoU will facilitate cooperation in areas such as health financing, health technology assessment (HTA), tobacco control policy, and capacity building through education and leadership training.

The retreat concluded with a strong commitment from both parties to implement a multi-year collaboration plan aimed at strengthening the health system in Vietnam and advancing regional public health objectives.
