Are you currently between the ages of 50 and 85, looking for a way to boost your well-being?
The Urban Care Farming Study, a collaborative effort between the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, NParks, and HortiTherapeutics, invites you to join us for a research initiative that aims to explore the benefits of urban farming and horticulture on physical and mental well-being.
The study provides free horticulture lessons led by farming experts, along with a fresh vegetable pack and gardening tools. Additionally, participants will be reimbursed for their time and effort. Sessions will be held once a week for 24 weeks from 9am to 12pm at Jurong Lake Gardens. The programme consists of two runs and participants will be assigned to either the session starting on 1 April or 30 September.
Who Can Participate?
- Adults aged between 50 and 85
- Singapore citizens/PR
- Able to do light to moderate physical activities
- No recent major medical episode
