Prof Hsu Li Yang has made significant impact in his research especially in the areas of surveillance and control of antimicrobial resistance(AMR). His impressive research has earned him the reputation as the “go to person” in infectious disease clinical practice and research in NUS and Singapore. He is currently the first Vice Dean of Global Health in SSHSPH and leads the Global Health Office to support SSHSPH’s regional and global health education and research work.
In addition, Prof Hsu has served in several committees, workgroups and taskforces where he provided expert advice to agencies like the Ministry of Health (MOH) and World Health Organisation (WHO), in areas like COVID-19, AMR and Tuberculosis. His role at the national level was exceptionally crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic.
