GOH Jit Khong, Jake

My journey as a public health physician and medical doctor has been marked by over a decade of service as a military medical officer, holding management positions such as Head of Operations at the Military Medicine Institute, Head of Healthcare Cluster East, and Head of Naval Healthcare Branch. My roles have seen me spearhead inter-ministerial collaborations for medical operations in both crisis situations and peacetime, honing my capability in project planning, policy analysis, program evaluation, clinical leadership, and operations management.

My passion extends to the nurturing and education of the next generation of public health physicians, aiming to elevate the standards of population health. My interests are broad, covering health systems and policies, global health, health promotion, and healthcare management. Currently, I am focused on research in public health ethics and the integration of artificial intelligence in public health, fields I believe are pivotal in shaping future healthcare landscapes.

On a personal note, as a family man with three active boys, I strive to provide them an example of resilience, motivation, and determination. These qualities, coupled with my professional background, fuel my aspiration to contribute meaningfully to public health education, facing its academic challenges with enthusiasm and a forward-thinking mindset.
