On 5 Apr 2024, 27 experts from various Singapore ministries, agencies and hospitals came together to share insights from the latest research on the impacts of vaping and to discuss ways to address the vaping issue in Singapore. The closed-door meeting was graced by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Law, Ms Rahayu Mahzam, who spoke about the urgent and emerging issue of vaping during the Committee of Supply Debate 2024.
The fruitful discussions delved into topics of concern regarding the prevention and treatment of vaping, with focus on finding ways to support the needs of people in Singapore who have developed addictions to vaping.
