About the speaker:

Associate Professor Liow is currently the Vice-Dean of Education at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. He lectures on global health and programme design/monitoring/implementation/evaluation (DIME) to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He had given DIME training to social service agencies and had been involved in design and evaluation of more than 20 programmes in Singapore.

Associate Professor Liow had worked in South-west China for 14 years where he was overseeing about 20 public/global health projects including village doctor training, medical and dental clinics, HIV prevention and care, disaster relief, physical rehabilitation for autistic and cerebral palsy children etc. He had also been involved in several global health programmes and evaluations in the Greater Mekong Region and Southeast Asia. He is also on the board of various international agencies working on social and public health issues in the region.
