Make A Gift
How Your Gift Can Make a Difference!
There has never been a more exciting time to support the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health!
Our School is at a time of significant transition, intense complexity and historic change. We have witnessed over the past two decades Singapore’s rapidly ageing population, coupled with an increasing trend in chronic diseases like Type II Diabetes Mellitus, cardiovascular diseases and cancers, presents an interplay of biological, behavioural and socio-environmental factors that, when overlaid onto existing healthcare systems, has profound public health and also wider societal implications.
More recently, we have witnessed the ability of new and emerging infectious diseases like SARS and H1N1 to disrupt both the Singaporean and the global economy.
In many ways, we will be defined not only by these increasingly complex challenges we encounter, but more importantly, how we respond to them.
Your gifts are hard at work building the future of public health in Singapore and the region—from scholarships and bursaries for the brightest and most deserving albeit financially challenged students to research to outreach programmes in disease prevention and health promotion. Your gift gives us the added advantage and confidence in meeting new needs or opportunities and responding to extraordinary challenges as they arise in our mission to become Asia’s global leader in public health education and training.
