Supervised therapy helps stroke patients recover faster

29 Mar 2012

A study conducted by researchers from the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS showed that supervised therapy can help stroke patients recover faster. The study, led by Associate Professor Gerald Koh, found that 2 out of 3 stroke patients do not complete therapy after their discharge, and those who performed exercises only at home recovered more slowly as compared to those who underwent supervised therapy.
