Suganthi N has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree specializing in International Health from Boston University. Prior to this, she worked at the Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights at the Harvard School of Public Health on the Right to Development. Her interests are primarily in advocating global health issues and health as a human right. She joined the school as an Adjunct Lecturer on May 1, 2014.

  • Sept 2004- April 2008, Research Assistant, Singapore Prospective Study Program, Singapore Cardiovascular Cohort Study 2, Singapore General Hospital/ National University of Singapore. Managed the health screening component of the cohorts, which enrolled 6000 participants. Worked with different collaborators in the coordination of research data for further analyses.
  • Nov 2002-June 2004, Researcher, Program on Human Rights in Development, Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston. Provided research support to the United Nations Independent Expert on the Right to Development, Professor Arjun Sengupta, Coordinate and assist in the progress of research outputs by country team coordinators in a seven country study on the Implementation of the Right to Development, a 2 year project funded by the Government of the Netherlands.
  • May 2002-Nov 2002, Researcher, Program on Humanitarian Crises, Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, MA. Worked on a 6-month project on "Altruism towards victims of conflict settings" in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Analysed data provided by ICRC and assisted in the preparation of the final report.
